This particular tea is from Upper Assam, located in the eastern-most part of the region. The Panitola Tea Estate benefits from not only the rich, red loam soil and the wet and humid climate year round, but also boasts some of the clonal tea plants that were first developed in the gardens during British rule. As a result, the tea produced is high in tannins with a bold and malty flavor. Our Assam Panitola (TGFOP1) is full of the golden tips that the Panitola Tea Estate is well known for. These golden tips give the tea its distinctive aromatic, malty flavor. Enjoy it without milk for that sweet, tart and syrupy mouthfeel or with a splash of milk to get that full-bodied flavor.
