Xiang Pi Luo or Pure Jade Spiral is one of the top ten "famous teas" of China, formerly the Imperial Tribute Teas. A sophisticated, elegant and rare green tea grown in the shade of apricot, peach and plum trees which impart a delicate scent and unique flavour. Fresh, crisp, brisk, robust and refreshing, this is a tea to conjure the essence of a bright spring morning. The youngest buds and leaves are harvested in spring and rolled into small snail-like spirals. The Chinese name Xiang Pi Luo is a scented version of the famous tea Bi Luo and translates literally to scented green Snail. Bi is the word for dark jade green, Luo refers to the twisted, spiral, snail-like shape of the leaf.
