Rohini Enigma is a tea where the leaves are well shaped, tending to be brownish with some red and a fair amount of tips visible. The liquor is a bright Reddish Gold and has a distinct flavor and discernable aroma. A Tea to be enjoyed any time of the day.
The Rohini garden is a picturesque tea estate located in the Kurseong subdivision of Darjeeling district, along its gradual slopes and picturesque locations. This plantation was reopened in 2000 after a gap of 38 years and has some of the youngest china bushes in Darjeeling. It is spread over an area of 360 acres. The garden is divided into four sub-divisions with the premium divisions at mid-elevation – Jaberhar, which is at an altitude of 1500 feet, and Kotidhara and Pailodhara spread over an area of 175 to 190 acres. Finally, at the top, Tukuriya is at an altitude of 4000 feet, which is the highest tea planted area of the Rohini estate. Rohini produces some exquisite muscatel rich teas in summer at its state-of-the art factory.
