Goomtee, 2nd flush, is a typical Darjeeling tea. The flavor is robust with a lot of musky notes. Also as the sip ends, we can feel the faint cocoa touch to this tea. The tea has a bit of astringency and gives a full mouth aftertaste. Overall we can say that this is a wonderful tea from the elite Goomtee estate.
Goomtee Tea Estate is located in the Kurseong Valley (the land of orchids) of Darjeeling at an altitude ranging from 3,300 to 6,600 feet. It has a planted area of 495 acres. The garden is set in picturesque surroundings, located in the prime quality belt between Jungpana to the east and Makai Bari and Castleton to the west. The temperatures are cool to moderate and rainfall is generous, making this garden ideally situated for production of the highest-quality Darjeeling tea. As a result, it helps the garden yield some of the most aromatic teas ever produced in Darjeeling.
